Thinking About a Collaborative Divorce?

Law 0 Comment 12

Divorce can be a hard time. It can be a hard time for both parties and people closely associated to the parties, like children. However, divorce can be extremely expensive and a long process. If you’re looking to make your divorce as cheap and fast as possible, your best bet is to go through a collaborative divorce. If you opt for a collaborative divorce, and have children, you will make the process less daunting on everyone.

So, what is a collaborative divorce? A collaborative divorce is when both parties, with their own lawyers, sign an agreement to not take the divorce to court. Instead of going to court, both parties, with their lawyers, work together and develop an agreement that works for both parties and their children and finances. This is a great option when you’re looking to keep divorce costs low, and keep wellbeing within the family, while keeping the children out of the process.

At any time, the parties can stop the collaborative process if it is not working for them. If they go to court, each party will have to hire another lawyer.
